It was exactly what I expected. I got nervous when I first opened it because the wire wouldn't fit in the groove but I just had to wiggle the top of the bar out of the board and it worked just fine. I guess with the shipping it got pushed in a little bit and it messed up the alignment.

*Side note: The groove on the cutting board is not as deep as the picture shows - but the shallowness of the groove makes clean up a little easier!
