About Republic of Tea's Earl Greyer More of a Good Thing Tea:
Description: Fine black tea leaves blended with oil of bergamot.
Origin/Estate: India, China, and Africa
Caffeine: Black, or fully fermented, tea produces about one-half the caffeine found in a comparably sized cup of coffee. Decaffeinated Earl Greyer contains a miniscule amount of caffeine.
Tasting Notes: Superior, light liquoring leaves combined with top-grade oil of bergamot has a lively, citrus taste.
Preparation & Serving: Use one level teaspoon or one tea bag per cup of tea. Infuse for three to four minutes.
Interesting Anecdotes: Oil of bergamot (pronounced BER-GA-MAWT) is extracted from a small citrus fruit grown in the Mediterranean region. This tea is attributed, probably apocryphally, to the British Earl Grey, who visited China in 1830.
