KitchenAid Mixer Attachments and Accessories
There are many attachments to the Kitchen Aid mixers. The attachments fit either model. The only exception to this is the beaters and the bowls. These items are designed to fit specific machines.

The attachments like the food grinder or rotor slicer shredder mount onto the front of the mixer. There is a small disc that says Kitchen Aid on it, this can be removed by the knob on the right of the head; or on the Pro 6, simply swing the hub up. The attachments are then activated by the motor of the Kitchen Aid.
