The ButterWizard is easy to assemble and easy to use:
- Prepare for re-charging: Insert your 6 high-capacity nickel-hydride batteries into their compartment in the main unit and fasten the cover. Then turn the unit’s own power-switch to ‘On’, before turning on the mains power.
- Wash lid and tray: Before any use of ButterWizard, lift off lid and tray, and wash in warm water, using mild detergent and a soft cloth.
- Place main unit on re-charger: Turn the main unit up on its feet again, replace tray, insert butter, close lid, and place assembled unit firmly on re-charging base.
- All-day charging: ButterWizard should normally be left on the re-charger, plugged into the mains power supply and switched on. Whenever butter is needed, you may remove the main unit, tray and lid to the table.
- Using at table: Away from the re-charging base, your main ButterWizard unit and tray, with its lid normally kept closed, can be left on your table for up to 2 hours, keeping your butter at a perfectly constant temperature for easy spreading.
- Fine-tuning the temperature: Simply adjust the thermostat to suit the texture of your chosen brand of butter, and any kind of bread, toast or biscuits you like. Re-adjust at any time. (Special adjuster supplied.)
- Safety & hygiene: Butter should not be left in the dish for more than 10 days. The re-charging unit should be cleaned with a damp soft cloth, separately from the main unit - and neither of these should be submerged in water. Wash the tray before each use, wash your hands before handling butter, and use clean utensils only. This is not a fridge, and should not be used for anything other than butter.
