I have been seeking a manual ice crusher just like Daddy used to have. Somehow my mother disposed of his after he passed away many years ago. This Metrokane has a substantial crushing mechanism which does coarse or fine depending on which way you crank it. I have been longing for coarse crushed ice for my lemonades and limeades but I didn't want an appliance that took up more counter/shelf space than a large glass/mug. This works just great. The price is somewhat more than I would like to have payed but to get one like my father used to have you would be paying antique prices. This is brand new!
