Kitchen Kapers believes that every home chef deserves quality cookware. We sell a number of high quality cookware lines including All Clad Cookware, Calphalon Cookware, Le Creuset, Scanpan and Swiss Diamond Cookware. Purchasing cookware can be a daunting process, especially for first time buyers. Each cookware line has its own set of capabilities and qualities that make it unique, making the task of choosing cookware almost seem impossible. Don't worry! We're here to help! Before purchasing cookware, ask yourself what kind of cooking you may be doing, particularly if you are looking for a specific pan. Take this into consideration and then refer to our Information on Different Cookware Materials section regarding advantages and disadvantages for each type of cookware. Based on your answers to these questions, we can help you find the perfect cookware for you.
All of the stovetop cookware we carry can be used on either gas or electric heat sources. Induction cooktops need to have cookware designed specifically for induction ranges, such as Le Creuset and most All Clad cookware.
What is an induction cooktop? Induction cooktops generate heat magnetically directly into the cookware, which transmits the heat to the food. Induction cooking is a more efficient and cooler form of cooking because the pan itself is heated not the cooktop. The cookware used on these ranges needs to be magnetic and have an absolutely flat bottom. Tip: If a magnet sticks to your flat-bottomed pot, then it will work on an induction stove.
