Recipe: Frozen Honeydew Margaritas

Recipe uses the Cuisinart Smart Power Blender.


  • 1 pound peeled and seeded honeydew melon
  • Coarse salt and a wedge of lime (optional)
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/3 cup Tequila
  • 1/4 cup Triple Sec
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 lime slices for garnish


  1. At least 8 hours before serving, cut melon into 1-inch cubes. Place in a single layer on a foil lined baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap and freeze until solid.
  2. If desired, just before blending, rub the rims of 4 Margarita glasses with the wedge of lime and dip in coarse salt.
  3. Place the lime juice, Tequila, Triple Sec, and sugar in the Cuisinart® Blender. Blend 20 seconds.
  4. Add the frozen melon cubes. Blend until smooth, about 30 – 40 seconds. Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with a slice of lime. Serve immediately.

For an alcohol-free “Margarita”, substitute orange juice for the liquor and increase the sugar by 2 tablespoons.
