The KitchenAid legacy began in 1908 when Herbert Johnson created an 80-quart device for professional bakers to use for mixing dough. Eleven years later, the KitchenAid brand was established with the production of an electrical tool for home use – the stand mixer. Interchangeable attachments became a standard for the mixers in 1937, making the mixer a versatile appliance for the home chef while maintaining the durability and quality associated with the KitchenAid name.
Over the years KitchenAid has introduced a variety of kitchen appliances and accessories, continuing their effort to make cooking and baking for the home chef easier and more enjoyable. In addition to stand mixers and major appliances, KitchenAid offers hand mixers, food processors, and more.
