Established in 1987, Peggy Karr Glass is the premier American design studio of handmade, fused glass giftware.
The handcrafted process employs similar techniques to those used by ancient Mesopotamians over 3,500 years ago. The colors are hand-stenciled to a layer of hand-cut glass, and a second layer of glass is then placed on top. Finally, the entire piece is placed on a mold and kiln-fired at 1500 degrees F, fusing the glass and color into one. The subtle color variations, surface texture, and bubbles that result, give the pieces a distinctive, handmade appearance that makes each a one-of-a-kind work of art. Each piece bears Peggy Karr’s studio signature, “PKG”, and the year of production.
The designs are available in a wide variety of sizes and shapes, making Peggy Karr Glass suitable for every occasion. The dishes are non-toxic and dishwasher safe! They're even safe for microwave warming! Quite simply, Peggy Karr Glass products are decorative yet functional. It's useable art at its' finest!
