Created near the Bobr River in Boleslawiec, Poland, by the talented artisans of the Ceramika Artystyczna factories, Polish Pottery has received worldwide praise and recognition and continues to be the world's most sought after Polish stoneware.
Crafted using centuries-old techniques, this pottery features delicate hand-stamped designs which are painstakingly created by talented Polish artisans. Each artist must cut and shape dried sea sponges to be used as stamps and hand stamp each piece of pottery to give the piece its characteristic pattern.
This stoneware is formed from white clay that's exclusive to the Silesian region of Poland and finished with a lead-free glaze that's fired at temperatures greater than 3600° F. The process creates stoneware that is non-toxic, impervious to abrasives, and microwave, oven and dishwasher safe, making it as versatile as it is beautiful.
All Polish Pottery comes with a guarantee that each selection is an authentic Artystyczna design and is certified by the Ceramika Artystyczna factory as First Quality.
