Screwpull is a name that has become synonymous with quality barware accessories, particularly corkscrews. The first Screwpull, invented in 1975, was designed in order to make a cork extractor that would remove the whole cork, in one piece, with minimal effort. The first Screwpull, the Table Model, fit over the neck of the bottle and had a Teflon worm that easily slid into and through the cork, raising the cork as the worm was turned. The Screwpull Table Model with its Teflon worm is still a favorite today.
Another Screwpull design is the Lever Model. This corkscrew features two arms that hug the neck of your bottle. A lever-style handle uses a simple down-up motion to pop out the cork in seconds. Other accessories from Screwpull available at www.kitchenkapers.com include a foil cutter, wine collars, and a cork catcher.
