Omega Juicer Reviews

Omega 8006 Juicer Review by Megan, Kitchen Kapers Cherry Hill:
The Omega J 8006 Juicer is a masticating, two-face, single-gear juicer that first crushes the pieces of vegetables or fruits through the auger, and then the pulp is separated from the liquid through a filter screen.

The juicer is rated for commercial, as well as home use.

It only has four parts that need to be cleaned, so it's convenient for daily use and can be left on the kitchen counter.
The rubber feet on the bottom reduce the vibrations on the counter, although it's a virtually quiet machine.
The Omega 8006 only rotates at 80 revolutions per minute and therefore does not heat up like other juicers will, leaving the enzymes and the vitamins intact during the extraction process.
The tube is only an inch-and-a-half wide, so you will need to cut up the pieces of fruit and vegetables into smaller pieces. However, this does make it so the juicer is more efficient, in that it extracts more of the juice and leaves the pulp virtually dry.
There is a reverse feature in case it does get jammed, which would only be caused by adding too much at one time, so if it does get jammed for any reason, you just hit the reverse button and it should clear any clogging that might have happened.
The Omega 8006 is a remake of the older nutrtition center, the Omega 8003.
The warranty is now a 15-year warranty versus the previous 10-year warranty on the older generation. The overall construction of the machine is heavier-duty.
The machine now has a handle and has been streamlined to make it more portable.
The new auger is 8 times stronger than the old auger.
The Omega 8006 can be used for juicing anything from wheat grass, which is popular these days, to any vegetables, fruit, or leafy greens. You can also use it to make baby food, pasta, soymilk, nut milk, ice cream sorbets, nut butters, and it also has a mincer feature.

Omega 8006 Juicer Review by Ed, Kitchen Kapers King of Prussia:This is a nice unit. The Omega J8006 has a very low profile, a small footprint, and it works with an auger. It does fruit and juice straining and extraction. It?s a slow juicer. One of the benefits to that is the juice is not compromised or any of the nutrients and the enzymes are not heated up by high speed juicers. So this is the type of juice that would last for a couple of days in your refrigerator, compared to other juicers that are high speed?you have to ingest that right away. The Omega J8006 Juicer produces a very dry pulp, and that pulp can be used for composting, or you can mix it in with soup stocks, or you can just add it into your juice. This is a nice juicer because the auger technology allows you to do leafy greens like spinach or wheatgrass. It also has a blank nozzle in it that will allow you to do pasta extruding. It includes plates that allow you to do different shapes of noodles and pastas. The Omega 8006 also lets you do breadsticks. So you can put dough through there and it will come out the front, and you can roll them out and bake them. This is a really nice juicer. Like I said, it has a very small footprint, very sleek, modern design. They come in the chrome or the white (J8004). The Omega J8006 has a 15-year warranty on it. That?s why it?s worth it, the price point, to invest in a juicer like this. It?s going to last you a long time, and it?s going to give you more than just juicing capability. It?s going to allow you to use it as a grinder. You can do frozen desserts through there. You can freeze bananas and strawberries and run them through the processor and it will come out as a frozen dessert. You can mince and chop with it.There?s a lot of versatility in this unit. It works at a low rate of speed, which is 80 RPMs (rotations per minute). What that does is it squeezes the juice out of the product and it allows the enzymes and the nutrients to last a lot longer. It?s got a commercial motor. It?s got heavy-duty construction. It?s very heavy. When you pick it up you can feel that it?s built to last. That?s why they give it a 15-year warranty.I really like this unit. It?s very sleek, very modern, and it gives you great results.
Omega 8006 Juicer Review by Kim, Kitchen Kapers East Gate:The Omega 8006 Juicer is great for juicing a variety of vegetables, but it can also be used for a variety of other tasks. It can make peanut and other nut butters; extrude healthy, homemade pasta; and even grind coffee. It works great due to its powerful, durable motor. It only rotates at 80 revolutions per minute, so it doesn?t heat up like other juicers will. The Omega 8006 Juicer is an updated version of the older Nutrition Center. The overall construction is heavier duty, so the warranty has been increased to 15 years versus the previous 10-year warranty. It now has a handle for easier pourability, and the new auger is eight times stronger than the old one. It has rubber feet to reduce vibrations on the counter, but it?s still a very quiet machine. The Omega 8006 Juicer is available in chrome or white (J8004) and has a streamline design perfect for any décor.I would like to see a model with a slightly larger tube. This one is only an inch and a half, so you need to cut the fruits and vegetables pretty small to fit. But this does allow the juicer to extract more of the juice, leaving the pulp virtually dry.The Omega 8006 Juicer is a very versatile machine, juicing anything from wheatgrass to fruits and vegetables, as well as making baby food, nut butters, and even pasta. For anyone looking for an easy way to make healthy juices, this is a must buy.
