The AKM 6230 is well-known to bread baking enthusiasts because it takes design cues from the superior "spiral" commercial mixers used in artisinal bread production. A powerful 600W motor is set into the base of the AKM 6230, and spins the 7L (7.4 quarts) stainless steel bowl against a fixed stainless steel kneading arm. As a result, the Ankarsrum can handle heavier loads, stronger doughs and larger capacities with less stress.
