Cuisinart

It all started when an American inventor developed the Cuisinart food processor as a more domestic version of the semi-industrial French Robot Coupe. Julia Child let people in on Cuisinart's secret and so did James Beard. They were among the first culinary experts to hail this new food processor as a revolutionary home kitchen appliance when it was introduced to America in 1973 by the late Cuisinart founder, Carl Sontheimer. They saw the food processor as a quick and easy way to make fine food and healthy dishes.

1973 Cuisinart Food Processor

Determined to make the product a kitchen staple, Sontheimer constantly improved the discs, blades and safety features. At a trade show he mixed eggs into puff shell dough in 15 seconds instead of 15 minutes, chopped a pound of meat in less than 60 seconds, and created flavored spreads, pastries and dough faster and with fewer cleanups than ever before.

Since the 70's Cuisinart has expanded far beyond the food processor with product lines including; Coffee Makers, Toasters, Toaster Ovens, Microwave Ovens, Immersion Blenders, Jar Blenders, Juicers, Cookware, Waffle Makers, Ice Cream Makers and much more. Their commitment to producing innovative, functional and top-quality products has never wavered.
