The Moccamaster KBT Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker is a Technivorm's standard 10-cup design with an excellent stainless steel thermal carafe and a manual stop-drip control that lets you tailor coffee strength to your taste. The KBT Thermal Carafe Coffee Maker is handmade in the heart of the Netherlands, and Certified by the Specialty Coffee Association, meeting their strict "golden cup" quality guidelines. The Moccamaster line's secret weapon is their own factory-built heavy duty copper heating element and machined aluminum housing that is made to perform and last for years. The design is quite robust and Moccamasters are known to have the best build quality and performance in the industry. This coffeemaker will brew a full 10-cup pot precisely within the SCA's stringent Golden Cup quality guidelines of 195°-205°F in only 4-6 minutes. The 40 oz. stainless steel thermal carafe has a vacuum sealed double wall design and comes with both a brew-through lid and a travel lid.
