Global's 8.5" Bread Knife is a perfectly executed western-style serated blade fashioned from the brand's exclusive CROMOVA 18. This made-for-Global chromium/molybdenum/vanadium formula is perfect for a long-lasting serrated edge. Aside from being incredibly sharp, the edge is absolutely straight and runs at an upward angle from heel to tip, making for a relaxed and comfortable cutting position. Like many bread knives of this type, it's equally effective for cutting thick melon rinds, or fibrous greens. As with all Global knives, the G-9 8.5" Bread Knife feels light and well balanced in the hand, thanks to a precisely weighted handle. Hand washing is recommended.
